While Priligy is safe and effective for most men, there are those who may not be suitable for treatment. Patients over 65 years old and children or adolescents under age 18 years should not use this medicine. Do not consume alcohol with Priligy, as this can make some side effects worse and affect how well the treatment works. Priligy can interact with other medicines which include antidepressants, blood thinners, medicines for kidney and/or liver conditions. Do not use Priligy if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Do not use Priligy before informing your doctor of any other prescription medication you are using including any over-the-counter medication and recreational drugs that you are taking. This is to make sure we can prescribe the medicine safely. Situations that REQUIRE you to consult your health professional include the following: You have not been diagnosed with premature ejaculation, You also have another sexual problem such as erectile dysfunction, a history of dizziness from low blood pressure, ever had a mental health problem such as depression, mania (symptoms include feeling over−excited, irritable or not being able to think clearly), bipolar disorder (symptoms include serious mood swings between mania and depression) or schizophrenia (a psychiatric disease), a history of epilepsy, bleeding or blood clotting problems. Before you start taking this medicine, your doctor should perform a test to make sure that your blood pressure doesn’t drop too much when you stand up from lying down.
The recommended starting dose for all patients is 30 mg, taken as needed approximately 1 to 3 hours prior to sexual activity.
Treatment with Priligy should not be initiated with the 60 mg dose. It is not intended for continuous daily use, and should be taken only when sexual activity is anticipated. Priligy must not be taken more frequently than once every 24 hours.

Like all medicines, Priligy can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects associated include nausea, dizziness, headache, fainting and diarrhoea. If you feel dizzy or faint after taking Priligy then you should not drive, operate heavy machinery or undertake hazardous activities.
