ellaOne is an emergency contraceptive pill designed to reduce the risk of pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. It is most effective when taken as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, but can be used.. up to 120 hours (5 days) after. ellaOne works by delaying ovulation, which helps prevent fertilisation… This pill may suit women who need a reliable backup method following missed contraception or condom breakage. It offers a discreet and convenient option without requiring a prescription in many cases.

However, it is not intended for regular contraception and should not replace ongoing contraceptive methods. ellaOne fits well. into a busy lifestyle, providing peace of mind when unexpected situations arise.. It is easy to take and does not interfere with future fertility. Women should be aware of possible side effects such as nausea or headaches, and consult a healthcare professional. if they experience severe symptoms or have concerns.. While ellaOne is a useful emergency option, it is important to remember it does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.

For ongoing contraception advice or if you have questions about suitability, please speak to a prescriber. Taking ellaOne promptly after unprotected sex improves its effectiveness, supporting your reproductive choices responsibly and safely.
