How to Apply Freestyle Libre 3 Plus?

​Applying the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor is a straightforward process designed for ease and comfort. This sensor offers up to 15 days of continuous glucose monitoring and is water-resistant, allowing you to shower, swim, or exercise without worry. Follow the steps below to apply your sensor correctly:​

🧼 Step 1: Prepare Your Skin

  • Choose a clean, flat area on the back of your upper arm.​

  • Wash the selected area with plain soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Then, clean the area with an alcohol wipe and allow it to air dry completely. ​

📦 Step 2: Prepare the Sensor

  • Ensure that the sensor pack and sensor applicator codes match. ​

  • Peel the lid completely off the sensor pack.​

  • Unscrew the cap from the sensor applicator and set it aside. Do not touch inside the applicator. ​

📌 Step 3: Apply the Sensor

  • Place the sensor applicator over the prepared site on the back of your upper arm.​

  • Press down firmly until the applicator comes to a stop. You should hear a click, indicating the sensor is applied. ​

  • Gently pull the applicator away from your arm. The sensor should now be attached to your skin.​

  • Press down gently around the edge of the sensor to ensure it is secure. ​

  • Choose Your Device: Decide whether to use the FreeStyle Libre 3 app on your smartphone or the FreeStyle Libre 3 reader. Note that once you start the sensor with one device, you cannot use the other device to scan the same sensor. ​
