Warnings

Photosensitivity manifested by an exaggerated sunburn reaction has been seen in some individuals taking doxycycline. People likely to be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light can have a reaction with tetracycline drugs and treatment should be discontinued if they notice redness of the skin. 

If you get any allergic reactions to Doxycycline including difficulty breathing, diarrhoea that does not resolve, severe itching, rash or swelling of face, lips or neck. Seek prompt medical advice

FAQs

A missed dose of doxycycline should be taken as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, the missed dose should be skipped and go back to the regular dosing schedule. Patients should not take 2 doses at once.

If a patient takes more medication than recommended, they should be referred for medical attention immediately.
