Wegovy price comparison UK: every dose, seven providers, October 2026

Wegovy is sold as a four week pack of pens, and the price changes with the dose. We compared advertised prices for every strength from 0.25mg to 7.2mg across seven UK online providers, including ourselves. Some are cheaper than us on some doses. We show that plainly, because our Price Match Guarantee means you pay the lowest UK registered pharmacy price with us anyway. Wegovy is prescription only, so every provider assesses you first and no price here is a promise of supply.

Wegovy price comparison: the quick answer

Across the seven providers we compared, a four week pack of Wegovy ranged from £99.00 to £119.00 for the 0.25mg starting dose and £189.99 to £229.99 for the 2.4mg maintenance dose. The new 7.2mg dose ranged from £249.99 to £285.00.

At The Care Pharmacy our list prices are £99.99 for 0.25mg, £229.99 for 2.4mg and £249.99 for 7.2mg. We are joint cheapest on 7.2mg and in the middle on the starting dose. On 2.4mg, several providers list a lower price than we do. If you bring us that price, we match it. See how the Price Match Guarantee works.

Three things to keep in mind:

  • A pack is four weekly pens, so 28 days, not a calendar month
  • You move up through the doses over the first 16 weeks, so your monthly cost rises before it settles
  • Your prescriber decides your dose. Nobody picks 1mg because it is cheaper than 2.4mg

Wegovy price comparison by provider and dose

Publicly advertised prices for a four week pack (four pens) of branded Wegovy, without discount codes, reward points or new customer offers. This is a dated sample of seven UK online services, not every pharmacy in the country, and not a claim to have found the lowest price anywhere. Needles are included with our packs; check what others include.

Provider 0.25mg 0.5mg 1mg 1.7mg 2.4mg 7.2mg
The Care Pharmacy £99.99 £129.99 £129.99 £179.99 £229.99 £249.99
ZAVA £99.99 £119.99 £149.99 £168.99 £189.99 £259.99
Pharmacy2U £99.99 £114.99 £144.99 £169.99 £189.99 £249.99
LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor £99.99 £119.99 £149.99 £179.99 £199.99 £249.99
Simple Online Pharmacy £119.00 £119.00 £125.00 £169.00 £198.96 £265.00
Superdrug Online Doctor £99.00 £119.00 £166.00 £192.00 £205.00 £285.00
Boots Online Doctor £99.97 £119.97 £166.97 £192.97 £205.97 £279.00
Declared interest. The Care Pharmacy wrote this guide and sells Wegovy. Our prices sit in the same table as everyone else’s, checked on the same day, on the same basis. Where another provider lists a lower price, the table says so. We did not place an order or complete a consultation with any other provider, so these are advertised prices, not final invoices.

Read the table by row, not by one column. The provider that is cheapest for your starting dose is often not the cheapest once you reach maintenance. Pharmacy2U and ZAVA have the lowest 2.4mg price in this set. We have the joint lowest 7.2mg price. Superdrug and Boots are the most expensive on 7.2mg by a clear margin.

How our Price Match Guarantee works

We would rather you saw the real numbers than a table arranged to flatter us. So here is the deal. If another UK registered pharmacy advertises a lower price for the same Wegovy strength and the same four week pack, send us the link and we match it.

In practice, using the table above, that means:

  • On 2.4mg, show us ZAVA or Pharmacy2U at £189.99 and that is what you pay with us
  • On 1mg, show us Simple Online Pharmacy at £125.00 and that is what you pay with us
  • On 7.2mg, we are already joint cheapest at £249.99

You get the lower price with our clinical team, free next day tracked delivery on orders approved before 2pm, needles included, and a UK pharmacy you can phone. Ask us to confirm the matched total before you order. This guide does not count a possible match as a price you have already secured.

What the first 16 weeks of Wegovy cost

Wegovy starts at 0.25mg and steps up every four weeks through 0.5mg, 1mg and 1.7mg before reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose at week 17. That is the licensed schedule, not a choice, so the fairest way to compare starting costs is to add up one pack of each of the first four doses.

Provider Weeks 1 to 16 (one pack each of 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 1.7mg)
Pharmacy2U £529.96
Simple Online Pharmacy £532.00
ZAVA £538.96
The Care Pharmacy (list price) £539.96
LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor £549.96
Superdrug Online Doctor £576.00
Boots Online Doctor £579.88

The spread across the whole titration period is about £50. The real divergence happens afterwards, on the maintenance dose, which is where most of your money goes.

What Wegovy maintenance costs over a year

Once you reach 2.4mg you stay there, typically for as long as treatment continues. Thirteen four week packs cover 52 weeks. These figures multiply today’s advertised 2.4mg price by 13 and assume unchanged prices and continued approval. They exclude delivery upgrades, discounts and any switch to 7.2mg.

Provider 2.4mg per pack 13 packs (52 weeks)
ZAVA £189.99 £2,469.87
Pharmacy2U £189.99 £2,469.87
The Care Pharmacy (price matched to £189.99) £189.99 £2,469.87
Simple Online Pharmacy £198.96 £2,586.48
LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor £199.99 £2,599.87
Superdrug Online Doctor £205.00 £2,665.00
Boots Online Doctor £205.97 £2,677.61
The Care Pharmacy (list price, no match) £229.99 £2,989.87

The difference between the cheapest and dearest list price on 2.4mg is £40 a pack, or £520 a year. That is why the maintenance price, not the starter price, should drive your choice of provider, and why a price match matters more on Wegovy than on almost any other medicine.

A budget is for planning, not for committing to a year up front. Treatment is reviewed, doses change, and some people move to 7.2mg or stop. Do not buy a year’s supply because a spreadsheet says so.

How to compare Wegovy prices like for like

  • Same dose. Compare your prescribed strength, not the cheapest one on the page.
  • Same quantity. Four pens is the standard pack. Some sites quote per pen, some per pack. Multiply before you compare.
  • Same product. Branded Wegovy pens. The Wegovy pill is a different product with its own prices. Compounded or “generic” semaglutide is not Wegovy and is not licensed in the UK for weight loss.
  • Same point in treatment. A new customer offer on 0.25mg tells you nothing about what you will pay at 2.4mg.
  • Same delivery. Use the option and address you would actually choose, and check whether needles and sharps bins are included.

What is included beyond the pen

None of the seven providers displayed a separate consultation fee on the pages we checked. Beyond that, inclusions vary. Before you pay anywhere, confirm:

  • Whether needles and alcohol wipes come with the pens
  • Whether a sharps bin is provided
  • Whether delivery is free, and whether next day costs extra
  • Whether you are joining a subscription or auto reorder
  • What follow up and dose review is included

At The Care Pharmacy, needles are included, standard delivery is free on orders over £40 (every Wegovy pack clears that), and next day delivery is free on orders approved before 2pm. Full details are in our delivery policy. You can also buy two or three month supplies at once; the price per pack is the same as a single pack for most doses, so check the product page before assuming a bulk saving.

Wegovy on the NHS

Wegovy is available on the NHS, but through specialist weight management services and under NICE criteria, with long waits in many areas. If you qualify and can access it, you pay the standard prescription charge of £9.90 per item in England, or nothing if you are exempt or live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. That is the cheapest Wegovy in the country by a very long way.

The catch is access. Ask your GP whether you meet the criteria and how long the local wait is. If you go private in the meantime, tell both clinicians. A private prescription does not become an NHS one automatically.

Compare the service, not just the price

Wegovy is the same medicine from every registered pharmacy. What differs is the service around it. A £10 saving on a pack is wiped out by one unanswered query when you have side effects, or one missed delivery when you are due a dose.

Check who makes the prescribing decision and which pharmacy dispenses it. Both should be on the GPhC register. Then ask:

  • Can I speak to a pharmacist or prescriber if I have a problem?
  • How are dose increases handled, and do I need a new consultation each time?
  • What happens if my request is declined?
  • How quickly does an approved order ship, and is cold chain delivery guaranteed?

Dose and safety are not price decisions

Wegovy is for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight related condition, alongside diet and activity changes. It is not suitable in pregnancy or breastfeeding, for anyone under 18, or for anyone allergic to semaglutide.

  • Follow the titration schedule. Starting high or climbing fast to save on starter packs increases nausea and vomiting
  • Do not stretch a pack by skipping doses. The medicine only works taken weekly
  • Tell your prescriber about pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, diabetic eye disease, and any insulin or sulfonylurea
  • Get urgent help for severe persistent stomach pain, signs of an allergic reaction, or vomiting you cannot stop

Full details are on our Wegovy product page and in the patient leaflet. Suspected side effects can be reported through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme. Comparing Wegovy with Mounjaro instead? Read our Wegovy vs Mounjaro guide and our Mounjaro price comparison.

Wegovy price comparison: common questions

What is the cheapest Wegovy price in the UK?

In this comparison, the lowest advertised 2.4mg price was £189.99 at ZAVA and Pharmacy2U, and the lowest 7.2mg price was £249.99 at The Care Pharmacy, Pharmacy2U and LloydsPharmacy. Prices change weekly. Confirm the current figure before ordering.

Is The Care Pharmacy the cheapest for Wegovy?

Not on every dose at list price. We are joint cheapest on 7.2mg and mid table on others. Our Price Match Guarantee means if you find a lower advertised price at another UK registered pharmacy for the same strength and pack, you pay that price with us.

How much does Wegovy cost per month?

A four week pack ranged from £99 for 0.25mg to £229.99 for 2.4mg in this comparison, with 7.2mg from £249.99. Your monthly cost rises over the first 16 weeks as the dose increases, then settles at the maintenance price.

Why is Wegovy 2.4mg so much more expensive than 0.25mg?

The pen contains almost ten times the semaglutide. Pricing broadly follows the amount of medicine, which is why the maintenance dose is where the real cost sits.

Does the price include a prescription and consultation?

None of the seven providers showed a separate consultation fee. All assess you before supply. Confirm what else is included, especially needles, sharps bins and delivery.

Can I buy a cheaper dose and take more of it?

No. Each pen delivers a fixed weekly dose. Taking two 1.7mg pens is not 2.4mg, it is 3.4mg and unsafe. Follow your prescription exactly.

Is Wegovy cheaper than Mounjaro?

At list prices in this comparison, Wegovy 2.4mg from £189.99 is cheaper than Mounjaro’s top doses. They are different medicines with different results, so compare on suitability first. See our Mounjaro price comparison.
