Cialis Daily and Tadalafil Price Comparison UK: 2.5mg and 5mg
Compare daily Cialis and generic tadalafil prices for matching 2.5mg and 5mg packs, including delivery, prescription fees and ongoing costs.
Cialis and tadalafil prices depend on four things: brand or generic, 10mg or 20mg, how many tablets, and who you buy from. Then there are the fees that sit outside the headline price. We compared four UK providers on 7 October 2026 for the on demand tablets taken before sex, kept brand and generic in separate tables, and worked out what a real order costs once delivery and prescription fees are added. This guide does not compare a four tablet pack with daily treatment, and it never suggests picking a strength because it is cheaper.
On 7 October 2026, among the four providers we checked:
Brand and generic are different products with different prices, so we never mix them in one table.
The headline price is rarely what you pay. Our four tablet generic 10mg pack is £6.99, or £10.98 with standard delivery. Dr Fox’s is £6.90, or £10.80 once its prescription fee and delivery are added. Eighteen pence apart, in Dr Fox’s favour. On eight tablets the order reverses and we come out 42p cheaper. The lesson is to compare delivered totals, not list prices.
This is a dated sample of four providers, not a claim to be the cheapest in Britain. No discount codes, memberships, loyalty points or repeat order offers have been deducted.
Medicine price only, before any prescription or delivery fee. Quantities are in separate columns so you can read across the row that matches your prescription.
| Provider | 4 tablets | 8 tablets | 16 tablets |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Care Pharmacy | £6.99 | £12.99 | £23.99 |
| Dr Fox | £6.90 | £12.50 | £20.50 |
| Boots Online Doctor | £17.00 | £30.00 | £50.00 |
| Asda Online Doctor | £20.00 | £32.00 | £59.00 |
There are really two price bands here. The Care Pharmacy and Dr Fox are within pence of each other. Boots and Asda charge roughly two and a half to three times as much for the same generic tablets. Read the column that matches the quantity your clinician thinks appropriate, and treat any “from” price with suspicion. It usually refers to the smallest pack or a different strength.
Same basis: generic tablets, medicine price only. A higher strength is not better value for someone prescribed a lower one, however close the numbers look.
| Provider | 4 tablets | 8 tablets | 16 tablets |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Care Pharmacy | £7.99 | £14.99 | £27.99 |
| Dr Fox | £7.50 | £12.00 | £21.00 |
| Asda Online Doctor | £25.00 | £45.00 | £75.00 |
| Boots Online Doctor | £28.00 | £50.00 | £75.00 |
Dr Fox’s 20mg price drops sharply at eight tablets, which makes its larger packs look attractive per tablet. That is a pricing choice, not a reason to buy more than you need. Quantity is a clinical decision first and a budget decision second.
Cialis is tadalafil, but the branded product has its own prices, and they are several times the generic. This table is four branded tablets only. It excludes generics and the pharmacy only Cialis Together packs.
| Provider | 10mg | 20mg |
|---|---|---|
| Dr Fox | £34.40 | £35.20 |
| Boots Online Doctor | £41.00 | £40.00 |
| The Care Pharmacy | £44.99 | £44.99 |
We are not the cheapest for branded Cialis in this sample, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Dr Fox’s delivered total for four 10mg tablets is £40.30 (£34.40 plus a £3.00 prescription fee and £2.90 delivery). Boots lists £41.00 with free delivery on most orders. Our £44.99 includes free standard delivery, so the gap to Dr Fox is £4.69 and to Boots £3.99.
If you specifically want the brand, that is the comparison. If you are open to the generic, which contains the same medicine at the same strength, the saving is around £35 a pack with us. Our generic tadalafil vs Cialis guide explains what does and does not differ. Price alone does not make one work better than the other.
On a £7 pack, a £3 delivery charge is a 40% uplift. Fees matter far more here than on a £200 weight loss injection. Here is how the four providers charge:
Worked example, eight generic 10mg tablets by standard delivery:
These assume one order, standard service, no discount. None of the four displayed a separate consultation fee. Always confirm the total at checkout, and check whether a collection option removes the delivery charge altogether. Where a provider showed a “from” price without a strength, we left it out rather than guess.

On demand tadalafil is taken before sex, not on a schedule. Four tablets might last you a fortnight or three months. So “cost per month” is a guess, and cost per tablet is the honest unit.
Even that shifts once delivery is in. Eight tablets at £12.99 is about £1.62 each. Add £3.99 delivery and it is about £2.12 each. That is why bigger packs look cheaper per tablet, and why a free delivery threshold matters on small orders.
Do not take tablets more often to make the sums work, and do not buy more to chase a lower unit price. If you find you need treatment more often, tell your prescriber. Daily low dose tadalafil exists for exactly that situation. It is a different regimen with a different price, and it is not created by cutting a 20mg tablet in half.
A first order discount is nice once. It tells you nothing about order two. Before you subscribe to anything, find out:
Keep a dated copy of the quote rather than trusting a search snippet. Prices change, discounts vanish, and existing patients are sometimes offered different terms from new ones.
If you are switching provider, tell the new one what you already take: strength, any recent dose change, how it has worked and any side effects. They may need their own assessment. Two prescribers working from half a record each is how errors happen.
The Cialis prescribing information treats 10mg and 20mg tablets taken before sex and low dose daily treatment as separate regimens. The higher strengths are not for continuous daily use. Follow your own prescription, not a competitor’s dosing paragraph.
Never take tadalafil with nitrates (GTN sprays or tablets for chest pain), with recreational nitrites known as poppers, or with riociguat. Do not add another erectile dysfunction medicine without advice. Tell your clinician about heart disease, blood pressure problems, kidney or liver disease and serious eye problems. The NHS tadalafil guidance covers the precautions and side effects.
Call 999 for chest pain or a severe allergic reaction, and tell them when you took tadalafil. Do not take a nitrate for chest pain unless the treating clinician directs it. Get urgent help for an erection lasting four hours or more, or sudden loss of sight or hearing.
Check the dispensing pharmacy on the GPhC register before you pay anyone. Erectile dysfunction tablets are among the most counterfeited medicines in the world. The MHRA has seized millions of illegal pills and warns against social media and messaging app sellers. A price well below the generic figures in this guide is a warning, not a bargain.
One other product to be aware of: Cialis Together 10mg can be bought in a pharmacy after a pharmacist consultation, without a prescription, following an MHRA reclassification. It has its own supply rules and its own prices, so it is not in these tables.
For four generic 10mg tablets, Dr Fox at £6.90 and The Care Pharmacy at £6.99, before fees. Once delivery and Dr Fox’s prescription fee are added, the two are within 20p of each other on four tablets and The Care Pharmacy is cheaper on eight. Boots and Asda are two to three times the price.
Cialis is the original brand. Generic tadalafil came to market when the patent ended and is made by other licensed manufacturers at a fraction of the price. Same active ingredient, same strength, same licensing standards. Only the brand and the box differ.
Not if you have been prescribed 10mg. The right dose depends on your health and how you respond, not milligrams per pound. Take the strength your prescriber chose.
Tadalafil can help you respond to arousal for up to 36 hours after a dose. That is a window, not a continuous erection or a guarantee. Follow your prescribed timing. Do not turn the window into your own dosing plan.
No. Daily treatment uses 2.5mg or 5mg tablets taken every day, on a different routine. Compare it with your clinician as a treatment choice first, then look at the cost of the regimen you are actually prescribed.
No. The consultation and prescription are included. The only extra is £3.99 standard delivery on orders under £40.
Start a consultation with The Care Pharmacy. Tell us about your symptoms, your medicines and anything you have tried before. Our prescriber will confirm whether tadalafil suits you and which strength and quantity make sense, so the price you compare is for the pack you actually need. Prescription treatment is never guaranteed.
