Does Priligy Work? What to Expect Before You Try It
Does Priligy work? Understand realistic results, side effects and when to review treatment. Explore your options with The Care Pharmacy.

Priligy prices should be compared with branded Priligy, while generic dapoxetine needs its own table. Both contain dapoxetine, but their advertised costs differ. This UK comparison matches 30mg and 60mg packs, then adds verified prescription and delivery fees to selected examples.
At The Care Pharmacy, three generic dapoxetine 30mg tablets cost £17.99 before delivery. Three branded Priligy 30mg tablets cost £20.99. The lower figure must not be presented as the branded price simply because both options appear on the same product page.
Dr Fox lists those matching packs at £16.50 and £19.50. Superdrug Online Doctor lists three branded 30mg Priligy tablets at £26. Separate charges can narrow or widen these differences; the worked totals below show where we could verify them.
The Care Pharmacy sells both options and produced this guide. This is a dated sample of advertised offers, without promotional codes or completed purchases. It does not prove that any provider is cheapest throughout the UK or that a particular pack will be prescribed.
| Pack | The Care Pharmacy | Dr Fox |
|---|---|---|
| 30mg · 3 tablets | £17.99 | £16.50 |
| 30mg · 6 tablets | £33.99 | £34.00 |
| 30mg · 12 tablets | £62.99 | £66.00 |
| 60mg · 3 tablets | £24.99 | £25.00 |
| 60mg · 6 tablets | £44.99 | £46.00 |
| 60mg · 12 tablets | £82.99 | £86.00 |
For a fair comparison, keep the generic medicine separate from the brand and read across one row. A price based on twelve tablets does not tell you what the smallest pack costs. Equally, the 60mg figures are not alternatives to a prescribed 30mg dose simply because the difference per tablet looks small.
Generic packaging may vary between manufacturers. Tell the prescriber about any previous reaction or ingredient concern, and ask the dispensing pharmacy if you need the leaflet or manufacturer details before supply.
| Pack | The Care Pharmacy | Dr Fox | Superdrug Online Doctor |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30mg · 3 tablets | £20.99 | £19.50 | £26.00 |
| 30mg · 6 tablets | £40.99 | £37.00 | £48.00 |
| 30mg · 12 tablets | £80.99 | £69.00 | £95.00 |
| 60mg · 3 tablets | £30.99 | £28.00 | Not verified |
| 60mg · 6 tablets | £54.99 | £49.00 | Not verified |
| 60mg · 12 tablets | £104.99 | £89.00 | Not verified |
“Not verified” means we did not establish a matching current price, not that the provider never supplies that pack. Advertised prices and stock can change. Confirm whether the proposed supply is branded Priligy or generic dapoxetine before treating the quote as equivalent.
Dr Fox has the lower branded pack prices in this sample. Generic dapoxetine has separate prices, so confirm which product and strength the clinician recommends before comparing the cost.
| Product and provider | Pack | Separate charges | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generic 30mg · The Care Pharmacy | £17.99 | £3.99 delivery | £21.98 |
| Generic 30mg · Dr Fox | £16.50 | £2 prescription + £2.90 delivery | £21.40 |
| Priligy 30mg · The Care Pharmacy | £20.99 | £3.99 delivery | £24.98 |
| Priligy 30mg · Dr Fox | £19.50 | £2 prescription + £2.90 delivery | £24.40 |
| Generic 60mg · The Care Pharmacy | £24.99 | £3.99 delivery | £28.98 |
| Generic 60mg · Dr Fox | £25.00 | £3 prescription + £2.90 delivery | £30.90 |
These totals use one pack and published standard charges. We have not turned Superdrug’s pack price into a delivered total without verified delivery terms. At The Care Pharmacy, standard delivery is free on orders over £40; the £40.99 branded six-tablet 30mg pack crosses that threshold, while the £33.99 generic pack does not.
The delivery threshold is a budgeting detail, not a reason to request extra tablets. A prescriber must agree the quantity, and prices should be rechecked before payment.
Dapoxetine is used when needed under the prescribed instructions, rather than being a routine daily subscription medicine. Three tablets therefore cannot be translated into the same calendar period for every patient. A “monthly cost” based only on tablet count can be misleading.
At our prices, generic 30mg costs about £6 per tablet in the three-tablet pack and £5.25 in the twelve-tablet pack, before delivery. That unit saving comes with a higher upfront cost and a larger quantity. It does not change the maximum use or the need for a review.
Ask what happens if treatment does not help, causes dizziness or no longer seems appropriate. Paying less per tablet is useful only when the medicine fits an agreed plan. Do not take another tablet early or increase the strength to get more effect from a purchase.
Premature ejaculation can have different contributing factors. Tell the clinician how long it has happened, whether it is new, and whether you also have erection difficulties. A full history helps avoid paying for a medicine that does not address the problem.
Our premature ejaculation service provides the assessment route. The NHS guide to ejaculation problems describes treatment approaches, including options beyond tablets. Read it if you are unsure what to discuss.
Before switching provider, have your previous prescription and current medicines available. Ask which product, strength and quantity the quote covers, whether any fees are separate, and how follow-up advice works. A new assessment may lead to a different recommendation.
Priligy is licensed for adult men aged 18 to 64 with premature ejaculation; an online service may have its own eligibility rules. Fainting and dizziness can occur. Avoid alcohol, and tell the prescriber about fainting, heart or liver problems and all medicines you take.
Some antidepressants and other medicines interact with dapoxetine. Do not combine it with erection medicines such as sildenafil without prescriber advice. Read the Priligy patient leaflet for full instructions and warnings. A favourable price does not establish that either strength is safe for you.
When comparing Priligy prices, write “brand” or “generic” beside the strength and tablet count. That small step avoids losing the most important distinction when several tabs or search results are open. Record whether the quote includes delivery and any prescription charge too.
If the assessment results in a different product or quantity, compare the revised offer. Do not carry a generic starting price into a branded order or assume a six-tablet quote applies to a three-tablet pack. The tables illustrate those differences; the final supplied pack needs its own check.
Priligy prices may change as providers update their catalogues or stock. A saved screenshot can help you understand a quote, but it is not a reservation of medicine or a promise that the same price will apply later. Confirm the proposed supply and total with the service before paying.
Priligy is a brand name. Generic dapoxetine has the same stated active ingredient and strength, but brand and generic pack prices differ. The tables label each product separately.
No. It is our three-tablet generic dapoxetine 30mg price before delivery. Branded Priligy 30mg, three tablets, is £20.99 in the prices checked.
The prescriber decides the appropriate strength after assessing your history and response. Do not increase the dose or substitute a different strength on the basis of price.
No. Listings and stock can change, and all prescription supplies need assessment. Confirm the brand, quantity and final total offered to you before paying.
The Care Pharmacy’s premature ejaculation service assesses your symptoms, medical history and current medicines before recommending treatment. You can ask about suitable options and their full cost before deciding. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a prescription or supply.
