The quick answer: brand and fees change the bill
For four 50mg tablets, generic sildenafil costs £6.99 at The Care Pharmacy, compared with £29.99 for branded Viagra. With our £3.99 standard delivery, those totals become £10.98 and £33.98. That is a £23 difference for the same active ingredient and strength, before considering other providers.
In this sample, Dr Fox has the lowest generic four-tablet medicine prices. Asda Online Doctor has the lowest branded Viagra 50mg and 100mg four-tablet prices. The Care Pharmacy is not the cheapest in every comparison, and the tables show that openly.

Generic sildenafil prices for four tablets
Read across the column for your prescribed strength. All entries are generic film-coated tablets, with four tablets per pack. These are advertised medicine or treatment-pack prices before any separately charged fees, rather than guaranteed checkout totals.

A low “from” price may apply to 25mg or to a larger quantity. It does not tell you the cost of your own pack. At The Care Pharmacy, the four-tablet 50mg pack is £6.99; the £5.99 starting price belongs to 25mg. Matching the strength avoids a misleading saving.

Eight-tablet packs have their own prices. Do not assume they cost exactly twice as much as four, or that every larger pack offers a better unit price.

For example, The Care Pharmacy’s 50mg price works out at about £1.75 per tablet in a four-tablet pack and £1.62 in an eight-tablet pack, before delivery. At Dr Fox, four 50mg tablets cost less per tablet than eight in the prices checked. The arithmetic is worth doing each time.
A prescriber still needs to agree the quantity. Buying extra tablets to reduce delivery charges is not a reason to take treatment more often. Sildenafil is used when needed for erection difficulties; a pack is not automatically a month’s supply.
Branded Viagra prices, kept separate
If you want branded Viagra, compare it against branded Viagra. Generic sildenafil contains the same active ingredient, but mixing the cheapest generic with the dearest brand would not be a fair provider ranking. These figures cover prescription Viagra tablets, not Viagra Connect, films or sprays.

The branded four-tablet prices are close enough that fees can change the order. Dr Fox’s 50mg medicine price is 59p below ours, but its prescription fee and delivery bring the total above ours. Asda’s advertised free delivery leaves it lower than both for this particular pack.

Make a fair comparison before switching
Keep these details beside any quote:
- The medicine’s name, brand where relevant, strength and tablet count.
- Any prescription, consultation and delivery charges.
- Whether the price is a one-off offer or applies to repeat orders.

Suitability comes before the price
Do not take sildenafil with nitrates for chest pain, “poppers” or riociguat. Tell the clinician about heart problems, low blood pressure, recent stroke or heart attack, and every medicine you use. Headache, flushing, indigestion and dizziness can occur. Seek emergency help for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty or sudden loss of vision. Do not use nitrates for chest pain after sildenafil; tell emergency staff what you took and when. Get urgent help for a prolonged or painful erection.
Repeated erection difficulties deserve a GP or sexual-health assessment because diabetes, cardiovascular problems, medicines and psychological factors can contribute. Does the lowest pack price mean the lowest total?

Are Viagra Connect prices included?
