FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Price Comparison UK: Full Sensor Costs
Libre 2 Plus prices · Prices checked 26 October 2026
Libre 2 Plus prices: compare the full cost of repeat sensors
Our Libre 2 Plus prices start at £49.99 excluding VAT for one sensor. Check the full model name when comparing offers, then look at VAT, delivery and the number of sensors you need to buy. A lower price per sensor can still mean a bigger bill today.
A single sensor or a multipack?
Our single FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is listed at £49.99 excluding VAT. Standard delivery is free on orders over £40. Confirm any applicable VAT and your chosen delivery service before paying.
Chemist4U advertises one sensor at £50.99 and Medino at £56.99. Chemist4U also lists two- and three-sensor offers. A multipack can reduce the amount per sensor, but it also changes the amount you need to pay today.
We sell Libre 2 Plus sensors and have included our price alongside the other sellers we checked on 26 October 2026. Their advertised VAT information appears beside each figure. This comparison covers those sellers, rather than the whole UK market.

The £1 gap between our listed amount and Chemist4U’s single-sensor amount is not proof of a £1 difference at payment. Our amount excludes VAT, while its offer is marked VAT-exempt. You need the tax treatment that applies to your own purchase before ranking the final bills.
Medino advertises free next-day delivery on the checked offer. Our standard delivery is free on orders over £40. Delivery speeds, postcode restrictions and upgrade charges can differ between sellers, so check the option you need before paying.
Does buying more reduce the unit cost?
Chemist4U’s two-sensor offer works out at £50.445 per sensor, usually rounded to £50.45. The three-sensor offer is about £50.20 per sensor. Use the actual pack totals when comparing orders, because multiplying a rounded unit price can give a slightly different result.
Two sensors at our single-sensor price total £99.98 excluding VAT, and three total £149.97 excluding VAT. Those figures use our single-sensor price, with no extra multipack discount. To compare them with another offer, check its VAT treatment and delivery charge too.
When comparing Libre 2 Plus prices, start with the quantity you need until your next planned review or supply. A small unit-price reduction may not justify a larger bill if you are trialling the system or expect your diabetes team to recommend a different device.
Check these points before choosing a multipack:
The number of sensors, rather than the number of boxes shown in a photograph.
Expiry dates and whether you can use each sensor in time.
Any subscription, account or promotional-code requirement.
The full purchase amount, tax treatment and delivery choice.
Buying two separate single sensors and buying a sealed two-pack may have the same planned wear duration but different offer terms. Keep the retailer’s quantity description with the price you record.
Put VAT on the same basis
GOV.UK says qualifying products for the personal or domestic use of someone with a qualifying disability or long-term illness may be supplied without VAT. Diabetes is one example, but both the person and product need to qualify, and the supplier may require a declaration.
Our displayed prices exclude VAT. Ask for your final amount and how any eligible relief is applied. Do not add or deduct tax from someone else’s quoted total without first checking what that figure already includes.
When saving a quote, keep the model, quantity, VAT treatment and delivery charge with the price. You can then compare your next order with what you actually paid last time.
Libre 2 Plus prices over 30 and 90 days
Abbott gives the Libre 2 Plus sensor an up-to-15-day wear period. Two sensors provide up to 30 days of scheduled wear; six provide up to 90. These periods help you plan purchases, but months have different lengths and an individual sensor may need replacing earlier.
At our listed price, six sensors total £299.94 excluding VAT. That is the single-sensor price multiplied by six, not a fixed three-month offer. Delivery upgrades, applicable VAT and other equipment would need adding if they apply.
Four three-sensor packs at Chemist4U’s advertised price would total £602.36 for 12 sensors, with the tax basis still to be confirmed for your order. Twelve sensors represent up to 180 days of scheduled wear, rather than a full year. Avoid treating half a year’s approximate budget as an annual quote.
Libre 2 Plus prices can change between purchases. Keep track of what you paid for the same quantity, rather than assuming a previous discount will still apply. If a subscription is offered, check renewal prices, delivery frequency and how to pause or cancel it.
Check your app or reader before switching
Abbott identifies Libre 2 Plus as part of the Libre 2 system, with up to 15 days of wear and compatibility with its current Libre 2 reader and LibreLink app on supported devices. Check the manufacturer’s current UK guide for your exact phone and operating system.
Libre 3 Plus is a separate sensor and system choice. Paying less for a different generation is not a saving if it does not work with your equipment or agreed monitoring plan. If you use an insulin pump, ask your diabetes team which combination is suitable before changing products.
A sensor order normally covers the sensor and its application components, not every item needed to view readings. If you are new to continuous glucose monitoring, ask about training and the equipment you need. The price of a replacement sensor alone does not describe the full starting cost.
Keep reliable support within reach
Follow the instructions supplied with your sensor and display device. If a reading or alarm does not match how you feel or what you expect, use a blood glucose meter to check as instructed and seek advice from your diabetes team. Do not change treatment because of a reading you believe is inaccurate.
Keep the sensor packaging and serial details until you know the item is working. Ask the seller or manufacturer how to report a fault and whether a replacement may be available. Check any current manufacturer safety notices for your exact model; do not assume notices for another version apply to yours.
If ongoing costs become difficult, discuss your supply with your diabetes team. Ask about any funding route that might apply to you and how to avoid a gap in monitoring. A private price comparison cannot decide NHS eligibility.
Questions about Libre 2 Plus prices
Are Libre 2 Plus prices quoted for a reader too?
The prices compared here are for sensors. A reader or starter kit is a separate purchase unless it is explicitly included in the offer.
Is the £49.99 amount a delivered price?
It is our excluding-VAT sensor price, and the order qualifies for free standard delivery above £40. Confirm any applicable VAT and premium delivery charge before paying.
Does a 15-day sensor last half a calendar month?
It provides up to 15 days of wear. Two sensors therefore cover up to 30 days, which does not match every calendar month. Follow the replacement instructions for your device.
Should I buy the largest pack?
Choose a quantity that fits your confirmed system, expiry dates and available budget. A larger order is useful only if you can use the sensors and understand the full cost.

Pricing note: Selected public offers checked on 26 October 2026. Prices, stock, VAT treatment and terms may change. Confirm the final amount before payment. Competitor offers are included for comparison; this is not a whole-market lowest-price claim.
Device information: General information, not individual medical advice. Check compatibility and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and your diabetes team’s monitoring plan. Do not change diabetes treatment solely because of a price comparison.

Our Libre 3 Plus prices start at £69.99 excluding VAT for one sensor. When comparing offers, check that each price covers the same sensor and quantity, then add any VAT and delivery that apply to you. That gives you a more useful figure than the headline price alone.
Our Dexcom ONE+ prices start at £153.75 excluding VAT for three sensors. Some of the sellers below advertise lower prices, while Dexcom offers individual sensors and a monthly subscription. Compare the sensor count, VAT and delivery, and check whether you are making a one-off purchase or signing up for repeat orders.
