Epiduo Price Comparison UK: 45g and 60g Gel

Epiduo prices | Checked 8 October 2026

Epiduo prices: compare the same gel and pack size

Epiduo prices need to be compared by strength and pack size. Our UK sample checked on 8 October 2026 found standard 0.1%/2.5% gel at £28 for 60g from The Care Pharmacy, £36 from Dr Fox and £45 from Boots Online Doctor, before separate fees. The Care Pharmacy also offers 45g at £19.99. Epiduo Forte and treatment bundles are different purchases and are kept out of these figures.

Epiduo prices: the quick answer

For one 60g pack with standard delivery, the checked examples total £31.99 at The Care Pharmacy, £41.90 at Dr Fox and £45.00 at Boots Online Doctor. The Care Pharmacy is the lowest-priced entry for that matched pack in this three-provider sample. That is not a whole-market cheapest claim.

The 45g option from The Care Pharmacy costs £23.98 with standard delivery. It has a lower upfront total than its 60g pack, but supplies less gel. Which quantity makes sense depends on your prescribed plan and the area being treated, rather than price alone.

Epiduo prices for matching 60g packs

These medicine prices are for standard Epiduo containing adapalene 0.1% and benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. They do not include an oral antibiotic, contraception, a subscription or Epiduo Forte.

Standard Epiduo 0.1%/2.5%: 60g medicine prices
Provider Pack Medicine price
The Care Pharmacy 60g £28.00
Dr Fox 60g £36.00
Boots Online Doctor 60g £45.00

Matching the exact preparation avoids an easy mistake: a search result may use the brand name while showing a higher strength, a smaller pack or a bundle. Read the complete medicine name before judging the price. Keep any added treatment separate unless your prescriber has recommended that combination.

Compare Epiduo prices for 45g and 60g

The Care Pharmacy’s two packs contain the same standard-strength gel. A 60g pack contains one-third more gel than a 45g pack; it does not contain a higher concentration of either ingredient.

The Care Pharmacy: standard Epiduo pack comparison
Pack Medicine price Approximate price per gram Standard-delivery total
45g £19.99 £0.44 £23.98
60g £28.00 £0.47 £31.99

Here the larger pack is not cheaper per gram before delivery. With delivery included, the figures are about £0.53 per gram for either pack after rounding. There is no need to assume that the biggest pack is automatically the best deal.

Cost per gram is a way to compare supplied quantities. It is not a dosing instruction. You should use the amount advised by your prescriber, not try to make each gram last a fixed number of days.

Epiduo prices including delivery and prescribing fees

The Care Pharmacy charges £3.99 for standard delivery, free on orders over £40.00. No separate prescription fee was displayed with its checked treatment prices. Premium delivery is extra.

For Dr Fox’s single £36.00 pack, the prescription fee adds £3.00 for the prescription and £2.90 for delivery. Boots advertises free standard delivery with its acne service.

One standard Epiduo 60g order: checked cost examples
Provider Medicine Separate prescription fee Standard delivery Total
The Care Pharmacy £28.00 None displayed £3.99 £31.99
Dr Fox £36.00 £3.00 £2.90 £41.90
Boots Online Doctor £45.00 None displayed Included £45.00

These examples exclude discounts, loyalty points, memberships and other products. Confirm your actual total before payment, especially if you choose collection, faster delivery or more than one pack. A different delivery choice changes the comparison.

Plan your spending around the treatment review

A tube is not automatically one month of treatment. Someone treating a small facial area may use a different quantity from someone treating their chest or back. Your application instructions and the affected area are needed before estimating how long a pack might last.

Ask your prescriber what quantity is appropriate until the next review. You can then budget using the price of that quantity and any repeat delivery fees. Avoid dividing a pack price by 30 days and presenting the result as a monthly treatment cost without those assumptions.

NICE acne guidance recommends reviewing initial treatment at about 12 weeks. That review looks at progress and side effects; it is not a promise that one pack covers twelve weeks. Get advice sooner for troublesome irritation, worsening acne or scarring.

If money gets tight, tell the prescriber before quietly stopping or stretching the treatment. They can help you consider an appropriate plan. An irregular routine created solely to reduce spending may also make it harder to judge how well treatment is working.

Check whether a larger order is useful to you

Dr Fox also lists two 60g packs at £68.00 and three at £99.00 before fees. Those are different quantities from a single tube. A lower cost per gram on a multi-pack offer may be useful only if the quantity is appropriate and you can use it within its expiry instructions.

At The Care Pharmacy, two 45g packs would cost £39.98 in medicine charges. That is still below its over-£40.00 free-standard-delivery threshold. Do not round the amount up or assume two packs automatically qualify. Two 60g packs would cost £56.00, but spending more to avoid postage is not itself a saving.

These are arithmetic examples, not suggestions to increase an order. The clinical team decides whether the requested quantity is suitable. Stock being available does not mean a multi-pack supply will be approved.

The Epiduo prescribing information gives an in-use stability period of at least six months after opening and storage below 25°C. Follow the expiry and storage instructions on the pack you receive. Keep track of opening dates rather than saving an unidentified old tube.

Compare the ongoing service as well as the first order

A first-order code can change the total once, while a repeat-order plan can change your spending for longer. Our tables use the displayed normal prices, without assuming every reader qualifies for a discount.

  • Check the normal price after any introductory offer ends.
  • Confirm the exact strength and quantity in each delivery.
  • Ask whether payments recur automatically and how to cancel.
  • Find out how to get advice about irritation or a changed routine.

If you switch pharmacy, describe what you have already used and how your skin reacted. Include missed applications or breaks caused by soreness. These details help a new prescriber understand the treatment history and avoid recommending a plan from an incomplete account.

Keep your usual gentle cleanser, moisturiser and sun protection in the budget as appropriate. Buying several new active skincare products at the same time can add expense and make irritation harder to interpret. Ask about a simple routine you can maintain.

A cheaper gel must still be suitable

Standard Epiduo is a prescription combination of adapalene, a type of vitamin-A-related medicine called a retinoid, and benzoyl peroxide. Do not use it during pregnancy or when planning pregnancy. Tell the prescriber about breastfeeding and other skin treatments. Avoid applying it to broken or sunburnt skin, or areas affected by eczema.

Dryness, redness and stinging can occur. Do not apply extra gel to speed up results or combine retinoids and benzoyl peroxide products yourself. Ask for advice about severe irritation; call 999 for breathing difficulty or swelling of the tongue or throat. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair and fabrics.

For the treatment-choice question, our Epiduo and Differin guide explains the ingredient differences. This price guide helps with budgeting after suitability has been considered. It does not establish that one treatment will work better for your skin.

Check a dispensing pharmacy through the GPhC register. A bargain offered without appropriate prescribing checks is not a substitute for regulated care.

Your price questions answered

Is Epiduo Forte included in this comparison?

No. These figures are for standard adapalene 0.1%/benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel. A higher-strength product needs its own clinical decision and matched price comparison.

Is the 60g pack always better value?

No. In this snapshot the 45g pack has a slightly lower medicine cost per gram. Delivery narrows that difference. Compare the quantity you actually need.

Can I choose a cheaper bundle with an antibiotic?

Only if that combination is appropriate and prescribed. A bundle is not equivalent to gel alone, and adding an antibiotic solely for a discount is not a suitable treatment decision.
