Quviviq price comparison · Prices checked 6 October 2026
We checked the advertised price of a 30 tablet pack of Quviviq at six UK online providers on 6 October 2026. The range was £62.99 to £85.00. This guide shows you the figures side by side, explains what is and is not included, and tells you how to compare properly before you pay. Quviviq is a prescription medicine, so every provider assesses you first. No price here is a promise of supply.
For a 30 tablet pack of branded Quviviq, advertised UK prices on 6 October 2026 ran from £62.99 to £85.00. At The Care Pharmacy, 25mg is £62.99 and 50mg is £64.99. Every other provider in our table charges the same price for both strengths.
Three things to keep in mind:
The first question is whether Quviviq is right for your insomnia. Only then does the price comparison matter.
Publicly advertised prices for a matching branded 30 tablet pack, without discount codes, reward points or new customer offers. This is a dated sample of UK services, not every pharmacy in the country, and not a claim to have found the lowest price anywhere.
| Provider | 25mg, 30 tablets | 50mg, 30 tablets | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Care Pharmacy | £62.99 | £64.99 | Standard tracked delivery free over £40; express £9.99 |
| ZAVA | £79.99 | £79.99 | Free delivery advertised |
| NowPatient | £82.89 | £82.89 | Delivery information conflicts; confirm the total before paying |
| Asda Online Doctor | £83.97 | £83.97 | Free delivery advertised; collection available |
| Superdrug Online Doctor | £84.99 | £84.99 | Free standard delivery or collection; express £3.99 |
| Boots Online Doctor | £85.00 | £85.00 | Generally free; Special Delivery charged; collection available |
None of the treatment pages we checked showed a separate consultation fee. Review arrangements, optional extras and delivery choices can still change your total, so confirm them before you pay.
A note on NowPatient. A £5.94 shipping figure appears next to its £82.89 price, while other parts of the site describe free delivery and a membership linked free delivery option. We have listed the medicine price but have not ranked a delivered total. Ask which charge applies to you and whether the membership costs anything.
A fair comparison uses the same medicine, the same strength and the same number of tablets. A ten tablet pack can look cheaper than a 30 tablet pack and still cost more per night. A pharmacy quote for dispensing a prescription you already hold is a different thing from a service that assesses you and prescribes.
Check all five before calling one quote cheaper:
If a private doctor has already prescribed Quviviq, ask the dispensing pharmacy what it charges to fill that prescription, then add your appointment fee. Comparing a bare dispensing price against another service’s all in figure is how people end up paying more.
At The Care Pharmacy the difference between 25mg and 50mg is £2 a pack. Everywhere else in the table, both strengths cost the same. Neither fact makes the strengths interchangeable.
The UK Quviviq prescribing information names 50mg as the recommended adult dose, with 25mg used where it is clinically appropriate, including some liver and medicine interaction situations. Your prescriber decides. Our Quviviq dosage guide explains how.
Do not split, double up or stretch tablets to copy someone else’s dose or make a pack last longer. If affordability is the worry, say so before you change anything.
One pack is not the whole picture. The figures below multiply today’s advertised prices by a set number of 30 tablet packs, assuming one tablet a night, unchanged prices and continued approval. They leave out delivery upgrades, separate appointments, memberships and discounts.
| Option | 3 packs (90 nights) | 6 packs (180 nights) | 12 packs (360 nights) |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Care Pharmacy, 25mg | £188.97 | £377.94 | £755.88 |
| The Care Pharmacy, 50mg | £194.97 | £389.94 | £779.88 |
| ZAVA, either strength | £239.97 | £479.94 | £959.88 |
| Asda Online Doctor, either strength | £251.91 | £503.82 | £1,007.64 |
| Superdrug Online Doctor, either strength | £254.97 | £509.94 | £1,019.88 |
| Boots Online Doctor, either strength | £255.00 | £510.00 | £1,020.00 |
Three packs of 50mg at The Care Pharmacy come to £194.97. Three packs at £85 come to £255.00. That is £60.03 on the medicine over 90 nights. It says nothing about how long you will need treatment or how you will respond.
Twelve packs is 360 nights, not a year. And a budget is for planning reviews, not for committing to indefinite use. Treatment may stop early, change after review, or carry on with regular checks. Money spent on a medicine that is not helping is poor value at any price.
An NHS prescription charge is not the private price of the medicine. In England, the current NHS prescription charge is £9.90 per item unless you are exempt, and a prepayment certificate can cut that further for regular users.
But a low charge is not access. NICE guidance on daridorexant recommends it for adults with long term insomnia affecting daytime functioning, where CBT for insomnia has not worked, is unavailable or is unsuitable. Your GP has to agree you fit that pathway, and local prescribing rules vary.
If you go private while you wait, tell both clinicians what you take. A private prescription does not turn into an NHS one at your next GP appointment. Our Quviviq NHS guide covers the NHS route in detail.
A cheaper matching pack is a real saving. It does not tell you whether the service suits your medical history or whether anyone will answer when you have a problem. Equally, a higher price is not evidence the medicine works better. It is the same branded tablet wrapped in a different service.
Find out who makes the prescribing decision, which pharmacy dispenses, and how you reach them afterwards. Check both on the GPhC register, especially where an online doctor service uses a separate pharmacy.
Before paying, ask:
These matter most when you are exhausted and impatient to start. A service that asks follow up questions or suggests a different route is doing its job, even when it slows the purchase.
A lower quote may tempt you to move. Give the new service your current prescription, how long you have been on it, what has helped and any side effects. Do not assume a previous approval means automatic supply. Keep one clear record so two providers do not give you conflicting instructions or duplicate supply, and be clear which one is managing your review.
A price comparison should help you choose where to get proper care. It should not become a way of collecting approvals or trying different answers until someone says yes. If a clinician declines on safety grounds, ask what that means and what the right next step is.
NICE says daridorexant should be reviewed within three months and stopped if insomnia has not improved enough. Treatment should be as short as possible, with regular checks if it continues. Build that review into your plan. Finishing a box does not automatically mean another one.
Keep a short diary of sleep, daytime functioning and side effects, and decide what improvement would actually matter to you: concentrating at work, getting through the day, worrying less about bedtime. That is a better measure of value than tablets supplied.
The Quviviq patient leaflet has the full instructions. Our Quviviq side effects guide covers what to watch for. Trials did not show withdrawal symptoms on stopping, but that is not the same as zero misuse risk; discuss stopping with your prescriber and see our dependence and withdrawal guide if it worries you.
Paying less does not change the medicine’s risks, your prescribed instructions or your need for support.
If insomnia is affecting your days, the next step is to explain your sleep pattern and what you have already tried, not to pick the cheapest strength. Bring a medicine list, any structured sleep therapy you have done, and your questions about cost.
Our insomnia service is the assessment route. We supply 30 tablet packs of both strengths, subject to assessment and availability, and current prices are on the Quviviq treatment page. If something else seems to be behind your sleep problem, our prescriber may point you to your GP or a different assessment. Finding the cause is better value than buying a medicine that does not fit it.
The Care Pharmacy, at £62.99 for 25mg and £64.99 for 50mg, both for 30 tablets, on 6 October 2026. That is the lowest in this selected table, not a whole of market guarantee. Confirm the current quote and your clinical suitability.
All the services compared assess you before supply rather than selling tablets outright, and none showed a separate consultation fee on the pages we checked. Still confirm whether your quote covers assessment and prescribing or only dispensing a prescription you already have.
Each provider sets its own retail price and offers different delivery and support. The table does not reveal anyone’s costs or margins. A higher price does not mean a different medicine or a better result.
It is 30 nights at one tablet a night. Months are 28 to 31 days. Compare in tablets and nights, and follow the quantity and schedule your prescriber agreed.
No. Your clinician chooses the strength. If the £2 difference matters to you, raise it as an affordability question rather than changing your own prescription.
Yes. Send us a lower advertised price from another UK registered pharmacy for the same strength and pack size and we will confirm the matched total before you order.
No. Prices, stock and delivery terms change, and repeat supply depends on review and continued suitability. Check the latest quote before each order and ask about any charge you do not understand.
If poor sleep is affecting your days, start a consultation and tell us about your sleep history, your medicines and what you have already tried. Our prescriber will tell you whether Quviviq is suitable, and at which strength. Price matched, with free standard delivery. Prescription treatment is never guaranteed.
