Betnovate Price Comparison UK: Cream Packs and Delivery

Compare Betnovate cream without mixing formulations

Betnovate prices at The Care Pharmacy start at £15.99 for 30g of 0.1% cream, plus delivery. A lower offer may refer to cream, ointment or a different Betnovate product. This UK comparison matches the branded cream and separates tube prices from any charges added to an order.

The quick answer: the smaller tube has a wide price range

For Betnovate 0.1% cream in a 30g tube, The Care Pharmacy and Oxford Online Pharmacy each list £15.99. Click2Pharmacy lists £7.39. For 100g cream tubes, the respective prices are £22.99, £19.99 and £19.89. Click2Pharmacy has the lower advertised pack price for both sizes in this sample.

Those figures do not establish the same delivered ranking. We verified our own standard delivery charge, but did not confirm the applicable shipping charge for the two other providers’ exact orders. Their pack prices should not be read as final payable amounts.

The Care Pharmacy sells Betnovate and produced this guide. We checked the named three-provider sample on 16 October 2026. The comparison excludes discount codes and does not claim to cover every UK pharmacy or identify a UK-wide cheapest service.

Betnovate prices for matching 0.1% cream tubes

Branded Betnovate cream · 16 October 2026
Provider 30g 100g
The Care Pharmacy £15.99 £22.99
Click2Pharmacy £7.39 £19.89
Oxford Online Pharmacy £15.99 £19.99

These are cream prices throughout. Click2Pharmacy’s ointment options have different prices, so using an ointment figure in the 30g cream row would create a false comparison. Check the selected formulation even when a search result uses the general word “Betnovate”.

Betnovate contains betamethasone as valerate, a potent topical corticosteroid. The 0.1% concentration stays the same in both tube sizes. The larger tube contains more cream; it is not a stronger treatment.

Betnovate RD, scalp application and ointment are outside this table. A clinician may recommend one of those for a particular reason, but it needs a separately labelled price comparison. Do not assume the cheapest item carrying a familiar brand name matches your prescription.

Betnovate prices with our standard delivery

The Care Pharmacy: one tube delivered · 16 October 2026
Cream tube Medicine price Standard delivery Worked total
30g £15.99 £3.99 £19.98
100g £22.99 £3.99 £26.98

Our free standard delivery threshold is orders over £40. Neither single tube reaches it, so both worked totals include £3.99 delivery. These figures use the advertised terms checked, rather than a completed checkout invoice; confirm your own total before payment.

Click2Pharmacy includes its consultation and private prescription in the treatment price. We have not assumed that this makes delivery free. Oxford’s advertised medicine figures also remain pack prices here because the applicable delivery charge was not verified for the compared order.

If a provider changes the recommended quantity during assessment, compare the revised offer. An earlier “from” price might no longer describe the supply. Keep the cream form, 0.1% strength and tube weight beside the total, so a change is easy to spot.

What the lower price per gram does and does not mean

Our 30g tube costs about 53p per gram, while the 100g tube costs about 23p per gram. The larger size lowers the unit cost but adds £7 to the medicine purchase. It is useful only when that quantity fits your prescribed treatment.

There is no dependable conversion from a tube weight to a fixed number of weeks. The amount used depends on the affected area, the application instructions and the course length. A small patch and widespread affected skin use different amounts; neither should be treated by guessing from the size of the tube.

For the same reason, do not call 100g “three months” or decide to apply extra because the gram price is lower. Ask the prescriber how much you need, when to review the response and what to do once the flare has settled. The treatment plan determines the supply.

Four details to check before a repeat request

Take the previous pack or dispensing label into the comparison. Be ready to confirm:

  • That the prescription says Betnovate 0.1% cream, rather than another formulation.
  • Which skin areas are being treated and whether the rash has changed.
  • How long you have used it and whether the planned course helped.
  • The requested tube size, full charges and any review needed before another supply.

A different pharmacy still needs an honest treatment history. Tell the clinician about repeated courses, irritation or a rash that keeps returning. Buying elsewhere should not conceal a problem that needs reassessment.

If you are offered a generic betamethasone product or another steroid, ask what is changing. The formulation and potency matter alongside the active ingredient. This table cannot establish that a proposed substitution is right for your skin.

Betnovate is not an acne treatment or antibiotic

Betnovate may be prescribed for inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It does not contain an antibiotic and should not be used for acne, rosacea or untreated skin infection. A red or itchy patch is not enough on its own to establish that a potent steroid is suitable.

Avoid the eyes and areas your prescriber has not approved. Long courses, large areas and covered skin can increase steroid side effects, including skin thinning. Face and child treatment need particular caution. Discuss repeated or prolonged use and any stopping plan rather than extending treatment yourself.

The Betnovate patient leaflet gives full warnings. Ask for advice if the rash worsens or infection is suspected. Keep fabric that has contacted the cream away from smoking and naked flames: product residue can make it burn more easily, even after washing.

Choose the right assessment route for changed skin

A familiar tube is not a diagnosis. If a new patch is painful, hot, oozing or spreading quickly, seek medical advice rather than restarting leftover cream. The clinician may need to check for infection or another condition before discussing a repeat steroid.

Our eczema and dermatitis service asks about your symptoms and treatment history. The Betnovate product page now describes the steroid cream and its available tube sizes clearly. Its price selector is the place to recheck a current offer.

Keep your final quote and dispensing instructions together. A cheaper pack can help with the cost of appropriate care, but it cannot replace a review or justify using a prescription cream on a different skin problem.

Betnovate prices: check the final quote

Keep Betnovate prices with the date checked and the exact cream size. An older screenshot may explain what you previously paid, but it is not a reservation of stock or a promise that the same offer will remain available.

If a pharmacy proposes another formulation, ask for its name and directions before agreeing. Betnovate prices for cream should not be carried over to a scalp application or reduced-strength product. Recalculate the cost of the actual proposal, and make sure you understand why the treatment has changed.

Betnovate prices: common questions

Where are Betnovate prices lower in this sample?

Click2Pharmacy has the lower advertised cream-pack prices for both 30g and 100g. Applicable competitor delivery charges were not verified, so we have not claimed a delivered-total ranking.

Are Betnovate cream and ointment the same price comparison?

No. They are different formulations and may have different prices. The main table uses branded 0.1% cream throughout, with the tube weight attached.

How long does a 100g tube last?

There is no fixed duration for everyone. It depends on the area, amount and course prescribed. Do not extend treatment or increase applications to fit the pack size.

Can Betnovate treat acne or infected skin?

It is not an acne treatment or an antibiotic. Untreated infection and several other skin conditions make it unsuitable. Ask for assessment before using it on a new rash.

Discuss eczema and dermatitis with a clinician

The Care Pharmacy’s eczema and dermatitis service assesses your symptoms, medical history and current medicines before recommending treatment. You can ask about suitable options, the proposed quantity and the full cost before deciding. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a prescription or supply.
